Hey, I do want us to continue this communication - this community of practitioners. Do you al not feel it would be worthwhile?

Well, at least give it a shot!

  • Stop!! No need to be disheartened. I think its like Koshy said- we are all going through examination blues! whether its our students undergoing exams or our kids writing them! (I am dealing with a double whammy myself).
As to you question whether we feel empowered.... I believe so , but more than that its left me with a great deal of thought. Lots of questions. And a realization that perhaps there are no concrete answers to them.

  • Dear Tara, First i want to apologise for not responding on time. I wish you all the very best in whatever you do.
As you know we were and are all very busy with a variety of things. I feel that classrooms full of students is easy to manage and pleasant than empty ones. The presence of students gives us a secure and confident feeling. I hope you woulg agree about your students also!( your PPSEites)
Empowerment ! Hm it is a powerful term to me. But I can confidently say what PPSE has done to me, or has been doing to me. I have started to understand myself and my students better. There is better empathy in me than say 2 or 3 years before. My sense of time has improved. Iam working on my organisational skills, and definetely my perspective of a unit plan or lesson plan has changed. I cannot say that there was a phenomenal leap in my understanding of things, but you have shown me a clear path to pursue my understanding of "how children can feel" and how it should be understood by the teacher.
Tara as you know, i cannot textualise or verbalise all that i feel, i will get back to you soon. Meanwhile i will ponder over this matter.
    Sorry again for dissapointing you.
    Kalpana.
